Hayata Dokun Yetim Derneği, which stands out with its various projects focused on orphans, organized a meaningful event during the mid-term break to contribute to the children’s intellectual development and to help them spend their time enjoyably. As part of the program, the children first engaged with literature and then experienced the world of cinema. The event was held at the cinema located in Gaziantep Forum Shopping Mall. Prior to the film screening, the children read and discussed “İlk Namaz” by renowned Turkish author Ömer Seyfettin. Following this discussion, which aimed to reinforce values education and encourage reading habits, the long-awaited film screening took place.
A MODERN FABLE
The film accompanying the children’s mid-term break joy was the internationally acclaimed animated movie Zootropolis (Zootopia). Set in a vast metropolis where civilized animals live together, the film follows the adventures of determined rabbit police officer Judy Hopps and the cunning fox Nick Wilde. Through its themes of overcoming prejudice, pursuing dreams, and social harmony, the film offers children both entertainment and meaningful messages.
