The Katre Art and Science Center’s Art Film Series began on Tuesday, November 4, at the Zade Life Hotel cinema hall. Screenings and analyses of the Art Film Series will continue regularly on the first Tuesday evening of each month with the participation of cinema enthusiasts.“Takva”: During the screening and analysis of “Takva,” a film released in 2006 and winner of 9 awards at the 43rd Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, character analyses and evaluations of scene sequences were conducted within the context of religion and modernism. In addition, productive discussions were held before and after the screening regarding the philosophy of the film and its overall message.“A Separation”: Released in 2011, the film won the Golden Bear for Best Film at the 61st Berlin Film Festival, becoming the first Iranian film to receive this award. It also received the Silver Bear awards for Best Actor and Best Actress. A Separation won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards. During the film’s screening and analysis, the influences of Iranian cinema, character examinations, and scene sequences were evaluated.
