ESC51-2023 European Solidarity Corps Project Successfully Completed with Academic and Social Contributions under Bülbülzade Education Health and Solidarity Foundation
We have successfully completed our ESC51-2023 European Solidarity Corps (ESC) project, supported by the Turkish National Agency and carried out under the umbrella of the Bülbülzade Education Health and Solidarity Foundation, which holds the ESC50 European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. Through the project, we supported the academic development of our youth, strengthened their sense of social responsibility, and enhanced their active citizenship capacities by improving their digital transformation skills.
WE STRUCTURED THE VOLUNTEERING PROCESS
Within the scope of the project, we structured the volunteering process not only through field practices but also by supporting it with rich theoretical content. Our activities, conducted within the framework of the ESC individual volunteering model, covered environmental protection, social inclusion, digital transformation, and humanitarian aid. Throughout the project, local and international volunteers actively took part in sustainable activities for the benefit of society. Within the environmental and nature conservation activities carried out in Kurtuluş Forest, we organized tree planting, pruning, and sustainability training sessions. These activities made tangible contributions to sustainable development, environmental awareness, and climate consciousness.
WE STRENGTHENED SOCIAL SOLIDARITY
During this process, we carried out social and educational activities for disadvantaged children in earthquake-affected areas, supporting their motivation and learning processes. By organizing visits to nursing homes, we built a bridge of compassion between our youth and the elderly, strengthening intergenerational interaction. We actively participated in social cohesion activities for Syrian refugees, supporting intercultural dialogue and social peace. We also took an active role in social aid and support activities for those in need, promoting a culture of solidarity. Through these efforts, we reinforced an inclusive society approach while strengthening the social responsibility awareness of our youth.
WE INCREASED OUR INSTITUTIONAL CAPACITY
The ESC51-2023 project increased our youth’s awareness of participation in European programs and supported our international cooperation and academic interaction processes. The project also made significant contributions to the digitalization process of civil society. Thanks to the digital tools and media production activities developed by our volunteers, we enhanced our institutional visibility and strengthened our capacity for digital content production. The work carried out on digital security and digital citizenship resulted in a productive process where academic knowledge was combined with practical application. The networks established and collaborations carried out during the project enabled our local activities to align with an international vision.
The Bülbülzade Foundation continues its activities in the fields of youth work, social solidarity, environmental protection, and digital transformation through the ESC projects it carries out within the scope of the European Solidarity Corps.
