CIVIL COMMUNICATION AND COORDINATION PLATFORM IN THE HARMONIZATION PROCESS OF SYRIAN MIGRANTS

This study includes the notes and analyses of the Gaziantep Communication and Coordination Workshop, the first in the series of opinion leaders' meetings we initiated with the Civil Communication and Coordination Platform project in the Adaptation Process of Syrian Migrants. From 2011 to the present day, in the workshop we organized with the participation of opinion leaders who work, follow, write and research the Syrian issue with the same humanitarian reflexes in different fields of activity, many issues were discussed sensitively, inferences were made in the context of cause and effect relationships and suggestions were made about the future of the region. We hope that our workshop, which examined issues such as the processes carried out in migration and social cohesion studies in the balance of harmony-acceptance, the analysis of educational activities carried out in the context of migrant and refugee education, safe zone strategies and future vision, the contributions of non-governmental organizations to Syrian studies and harmonization processes, and the legal basis of the issue, will contribute to the studies and policies to be produced in the ongoing processes. Our project, supported by the General Directorate of Relations with Civil Society of the Ministry of Interior and implemented by BEKAM, is based on contributing to the communication processes of Syrian migrants residing in Turkey or who have traveled to different countries of the world outside Turkey. It is aimed to bring together the parties that can contribute to the reconstruction of Syria on alternative platforms to contribute to the solution and to report the suggestions made and to make them available to researchers on the subject. We are pleased to share the first concrete outputs of our work that we have carried out with these thoughts and we would like to thank all the participants who provided support with their ideas and the members of the BEKAM Board of Directors and our experts who worked hard to compile these ideas into a report.
