The Anatolian Student Union Secondary Education Commission analysed Stefan Zweig's modern classic "Chess" on 2 December.
The event was moderated by Gülay Şanverdi and Salih Taşkesen evaluated Mirko Czentovic and Narin Erdoğan evaluated the character of Dr B. The event, which was organised with the active participation of the students, was very productive.
The programme focused on the similarities in temperament between Stefan Zweig and the protagonist of the book and their fates. In addition, the effects of Nazi Germany of the period and the Gestapo on people were discussed in detail.
This event provided the participants with a broad perspective by considering historical and social contexts as well as literature.
