The European Aid Foundation, through the Bülbülzade Foundation's Charity Shop, brought hope to the hearts of earthquake-affected children by distributing school bags and stationery supplies.
With schools about to open, the excitement of returning to school has swept across the country for millions of students. Education is the most fundamental value that allows a child to understand the world and empowers them to stand on their own two feet. The dreams that blossom in classrooms build the bright future of tomorrow. However, this sweet anticipation is not experienced with the same opportunities in every home. Especially for children who have gone through difficult times and grown up in the shadow of disasters, the smell of a new notebook or the sparkle of a colorful pencil means much more than just a simple educational tool.
VOLUNTEER YOUTH WERE ON THE GROUND
In Gaziantep, a very valuable step was taken to share in this innocent excitement of the children. Stationery sets and school bags, carefully prepared with the support of European Aid Foundation donors, were gifted to earthquake-affected children at an event held at the Bülbülzade Foundation's Charity Shop. The distribution was organized by the staff of the Aid Store and young volunteers in Gaziantep as part of the European Solidarity Programme (ESC). International volunteers Oussama Hannouch, Leyla Yusifzada, and Hiba Bahhar personally shared in the joy in the children's eyes as they received their bags.
