The Science Youth Education Social Health Culture Solidarity and Mutual Assistance Association (BİLİMDER) has launched its summer school program for students from the 5th to the 8th grade.
Operating under the umbrella of the Bülbülzade Foundation, BİLİMDER has started its summer education program, which it traditionally organizes every year with the aim of enabling children and young people to make the most efficient use of their holiday periods both intellectually and socially. Known for its innovative and inclusive work in the field of education, the association is once again offering students a safe learning environment where they can relieve the fatigue of the school year and socialize by making new friends.
THE CURRICULUM IS BUILT ON FOUR MAIN AXES
The curriculum of the summer school, prepared by the Anatolian Federation in line with this vision, is built on four main axes. Reading the Qur'an with the rules of Tajweed, memorizing short surahs and explaining their meanings in a simple manner form the foundation of the program, while Seerah lessons covering the life of the Prophet (PBUH) from his birth to the period of prophethood, his moral conduct and his miracles also occupy a wide place in the curriculum. Practical religious knowledge such as the Five Pillars of Islam, ablution, prayer and supplication has also been included in the program. Under the title of Pioneer Personalities, the lives of companions such as Abu Bakr, Umar, Ali and Fatimah, together with scholars and leaders of Islamic history such as Ibn Sina and Al-Farabi, will be presented to children as role models.
A MODEL FOCUSED ON CHARACTER BUILDING
The most distinctive feature that sets BİLİMDER's summer school approach apart from others is its adoption of fun learning as a method. Enriched with activities such as storytelling, games and picnics, the program aims to make the knowledge children acquire lasting while strengthening their social bonds. The program does not only provide knowledge; it also has among its primary objectives reinforcing values such as empathy, cooperation and responsibility within the framework of Islamic morality.
