Our youth workers from Bülbülzade Foundation participated in the KA-153 international training course held in Ureki, Georgia, aimed at enhancing green skills.
Within the scope of the European Union Erasmus+ programme, the “Youth Empower Green” training course was held between 7–16 October 2026 in Ureki, on Georgia’s Black Sea coast, hosted by GYDA, in cooperation with Bildung Nijmegen and the Georgian Youth Development Association (GYDA), with the support of the Dutch National Agency.
INTERCULTURAL EXCHANGE OF KNOWLEDGE
A total of thirty-two youth workers from ten different countries came together at the event, with participants from the Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Türkiye, Georgia, Jordan, Armenia, Czechia, Bulgaria and Moldova. Throughout the programme, participants engaged in intercultural knowledge exchange in order to prevent environmental issues from appearing disconnected from everyday life and overly complex. In the evenings, participants organised cultural events featuring traditions from their respective countries, further strengthening cultural exchange.
SUSTAINABLE HABITS
Through gamification, creative activities and action-oriented learning approaches, participants discussed how sustainable behaviours could be conveyed to young people in a more engaging and lasting way. Throughout the training, enriched with exercises that kept the group's energy high and hands-on workshops, youth workers took on various tasks within the framework designed by the coordinators, developing new methods and games. They also exchanged ideas and experiences on how these outcomes could be implemented in their respective fields of work back in their home countries.
