Bülbülzade Foundation's Extended Organizational Meeting Held

13 Ekim 2026

The organizational units of Bülbülzade Foundation came together to plan the new period. Speaking at the meeting, Foundation President Turgay Aldemir emphasized the importance of social solidarity and being a source of hope.

The Extended Organizational Meeting of Bülbülzade Foundation was held at the Winter Garden with the participation of all the foundation's organizational units. At the meeting, projects to be implemented in the new period and participants' suggestions were discussed in detail, and the solutions offered by the foundation's activities to social problems were addressed. At the gathering, where institutional cooperation and planned work were placed at the center, the foundation's future vision was shaped through collective wisdom.

PEOPLE ARE THE REMEDY FOR ONE ANOTHER

Addressing the participants at the opening of the meeting, Bülbülzade Foundation President Turgay Aldemir spoke about the critical importance of civil society activities in an increasingly individualistic world. Emphasizing solidarity, Aldemir stated, "At a time when people are becoming individualistic and everyone is immersed in their own troubles, the existence of people who come together in search of hope and solutions perhaps represents the very essence of humanity." Noting that the foundation serves as a center of healing, Aldemir drew attention to the positive effects of social assistance on individuals by saying, "People are each other's remedy and hope."

BÜLBÜLZADE FOUNDATION IS A PLACE OF HOPE

Stating that they had reviewed the process left behind as they began the new period, Aldemir pointed out the need to determine priorities correctly. Reminding participants of society's need for civil society organizations in times of crisis, Aldemir added that Bülbülzade Foundation is a place of hope where people striving to spread mercy, compassion, goodness, and justice across the world come together. Emphasizing the development of institutional capacity, Aldemir stated, "During this period, we have made our work planned, organized, and project-based," noting that this had brought discipline to the institution.

WE WILL KEEP THE CONSCIENCE OF SOCIETY ALIVE

In the following sections of the meeting, evaluations were made regarding internationalization and social impact. Stating that they were putting forward universal law in the formation of the new world order, Aldemir summarized the vision for the new period with the following words: "Our most important goal is to carry out these activities that will keep society's conscience alive and to lead our children and young people in finding a foothold in life as we work to solve these problems."

VOLUNTEERING CALLS ARE BEGINNING

In the second part of the meeting, unit representatives took the floor and shared activities in their respective fields and their goals for the new period. It was announced that programs prepared for visually impaired individuals would be expanded to an international dimension and that joint art projects would be carried out, also including people with disabilities in Syria. Representatives of the family unit drew attention to the increasing rates of social isolation and emphasized the importance of gatherings that bring different generations together and family education programs. It was also announced that, with the launch of the "Volunteering Calls" in the new period, volunteers would be integrated into activities more systematically according to their interests.

SPORTS AND ART WERE ON THE MAIN AGENDA

Sports and art projects aimed at supporting the physical and mental development of children and young people were among the main agenda items of the meeting. A call was made to encourage children to participate in sports such as taekwondo, karate, and gymnastics in order to protect young people from harmful habits. It was stated that new-generation disciplines such as e-sports should also be approached in a way that draws children toward physical sporting activities. The university unit spoke about the growing interest in campus events, highlighting the increase in student community membership and introducing new activities such as the English Speaking Club. In the field of children's activities, it was stated that capacity had been increased in response to the strong interest shown in summer schools.

PROJECTS THAT TRANSCEND BORDERS

Developments in international relations were evaluated within the scope of the foundation's projects that transcend borders. The representative of the migration unit noted that the experience gained over many years was being transferred to the inland regions of Syria and that education and solidarity activities continued to expand at centers in Afrin, Al-Bab, Jarabulus, Azaz, and Aleppo. The project unit drew attention to the strong bridges established with the Balkans, the Middle East, and Europe. It was emphasized that new partnerships to be established with various civil society organizations in Belgium would contribute to the foundation's goal of developing international policies.

The organizational meeting concluded with wishes to further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and coordination between the units.
