“International Networking and Civic Diplomacy Skills of Young People in the Digital Age” Project Has Started

13 Ağustos 2026

The “International Networking and Civic Diplomacy Skills of Young People in the Digital Age” activity, organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA151 Youth Mobility project supported by the Turkish National Agency and carried out by Bülbülzade Association, started on August 10, 2026, in Kızılcahamam district of Ankara.

The international youth activity, carried out within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme supported by the European Commission, brings together young people and organizations active in the field of youth from different countries. The activity is attended by Alaca Association from North Macedonia, USAP and Maarif Europe from Germany, Maarif Belgium from Belgium, IFS EMMAUS from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Novi Pazar Turkish Cultural Center from Serbia, New Horizon from France, and Bülbülzade Association, Anadolu Student Union, BEKAM, REFAR and Yeşil Umut Association from Türkiye. The program, which will continue between August 10–14, 2026, aims to improve young people’s knowledge, skills and awareness in the areas of civic diplomacy, intercultural communication, international networking, active citizenship, digitalization, artificial intelligence, disinformation, inclusiveness and sustainability.

YOUNG PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES COME TOGETHER AT A SINGLE TABLE

Within the scope of the program, seminars, workshops, policy development activities, simultaneous youth forums, peer learning activities, introduction and socializing events, a cultural night, quizzes and various social activities are being held. It is aimed for young people from different countries to come together at common tables, discuss current youth issues, develop solutions and lay the foundations for new international collaborations. Civic diplomacy constitutes one of the important topics of the activity. The role of young people in developing trust and dialogue between societies, their ability to communicate effectively with different cultures, and the responsibilities they can undertake within international youth networks are addressed through different methods throughout the program. The role of digitalization and artificial intelligence in young people’s lives is also evaluated within the framework of ethical use, access to accurate information, disinformation and digital balance.

A BROAD CIVIL SOCIETY NETWORK

The Erasmus+ KA151 activity is being held simultaneously with the 20th Anatolian Meetings, organized by the Anatolian Federation under the theme “The Century of Türkiye and Civic Diplomacy,” at Eliz Hotel Convention Center Thermal Spa & Wellness. In addition to the Erasmus+ programs prepared for them, young people also participate in the sessions held in the main hall within the scope of the 20th Anatolian Meetings. In this way, it is aimed for young people to be in the same environment with civil society representatives from different cities of Türkiye and to interact with a broader civil society network.

PARTICIPANTS WILL BE PRESENTED WITH THEIR CERTIFICATES

The views and recommendations put forward by young people during the workshops, policy development workshop and thematic forums will be reported in writing. With the result texts to be prepared, it is planned to make the views of young people visible to civil society organizations, decision-makers and structures working in the field of youth policy. The program will end with evaluation and closing activities to be held on August 14, 2026. Youthpass certificates documenting the learning outcomes they have achieved throughout the activity will also be presented to the participants.
