BÖTE academics attending the international education congress in Gaziantep visited the Bülbülzade Foundation. During the visit, the foundation's educational projects and regional activities were evaluated.
Academics from the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology (BÖTE), who came to the city to attend EDUcongress2026, organized by Gaziantep University under the theme "Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization in Education", paid a visit to the Bülbülzade Foundation. The delegation, consisting of Prof. Dr. Ferhan Odabaşı, Prof. Dr. Fatoş Yarman Vural, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eylem Kılıç, Prof. Dr. Yüksel Göktaş and Prof. Dr. Kürşat Çağıltay, was hosted by Bülbülzade Foundation President Turgay Aldemir. The meeting of the delegation, which stayed at Zade Life Hotel during their contacts, took place in a sincere conversational atmosphere.
EDUCATION IS ALWAYS AT THE FOREFRONT
The foundations of the visit were laid at the workshop titled "As We Begin the Decade of Family and Population: Opportunities, Risks and Policy Recommendations", previously organized by Enstitü Sosyal. Ferhan Odabaşı, who met Bülbülzade Foundation President Turgay Aldemir at this workshop, added the foundation to the delegation's visit itinerary together with the accompanying academics after coming to Gaziantep for the congress program. During the meeting, the delegation was informed about the comprehensive activities carried out by the foundation in the field. At the meeting, where international student mobility and the foundation's educational vision were emphasized, it was conveyed that the institution always prioritizes education. The Kurtuluş Forest project was also mentioned at the meeting. Concrete steps taken by the foundation during the recovery process in Syria were also shared with the academics.
One of the important agenda items of the meeting was the activities carried out in the earthquake region. Social support activities carried out in the region after the disaster and the current situation in the field were detailed. At the end of the visit, handmade products carefully prepared by women affected by the earthquake were presented as gifts to the academics in the delegation in memory of the day.
