The Bülbülzade Foundation Children’s Studies Unit launched the new educational term with a welcoming breakfast. At the program, which received great interest from families and children, it was emphasized that the seeds of goodness would be planted together.
The Bülbülzade Foundation, which has been contributing to the spiritual and social development of children in Gaziantep for many years, stepped into the new academic year with a special gathering held at the Winter Garden. Parents, educators and children who came together on Saturday morning turned the foundation’s garden into almost a festival area. The pure joy of the children and the excitement of the families were the first signs that the new term would be full of hope.
TOUCHING A CHILD’S HEART MEANS BUILDING THE FUTURE
Delivering the opening speech of the program, Sena Hatun Bozcan, Head of the Children’s Studies Unit, drew attention to the fact that education cannot be limited to the transfer of knowledge alone. Stating that touching a child’s heart directly means building the future, Bozcan shared the foundation’s vision with the parents. Bozcan stated that the new term would include a wide range of activities, from Qur’an education to environmental awareness, from foreign language workshops to skill-developing activities, and reiterated that the fundamental goal is to raise individuals with strong faith, who approach their surroundings with compassion and contribute to society.
STRONG CHILDREN GROW UP IN STRONG FAMILIES
The moments when volunteer educators who sacrifice their weekend time to touch the lives of children were thanked created an emotional atmosphere in the hall. In the call made to families, it was reminded that education begins at home and that parents are the greatest partners in this process. Emphasizing the message that strong children can only grow up in strong families, parents were invited to shoulder this long-term journey.
THEY EMBROIDERED THEIR DREAMS ONTO THEIR BAGS
Following the speeches, the “Design My Foundation Bag” workshop prepared for the children began. The enthusiasm of the little ones, who colored the bags according to their own imaginations using felt-tip pens they brought from home, was a sight to behold. These moments, in which families also accompanied their children, provided warm scenes that strengthened the sense of belonging. At the end of the day, the program came to an end with a sincere belief that the seeds of goodness planted would flourish.
