As Bülbülzade Foundation, we came together at our traditional Eid gathering program, where we shared the spiritual atmosphere and blessings of the month of Ramadan with our volunteers and friends from all around the world.
At this special meeting held at our headquarters in Gaziantep, we went beyond a local celebration and created a true mosaic of the world. In line with the inclusive vision of our foundation, we hosted not only representatives from our cultural centers in Syria but also young volunteers from France, the Netherlands, and Ukraine. At our ceremony, crowned with international participation, we once again demonstrated the vastness of our spiritual boundaries by meeting at the same table with guests from different geographies. Together with our participants who filled the hall to capacity, we felt the unifying power of Eid in its warmest form.
RAMADAN HAS REBALANCED OUR THINKING
In the keynote speech of our program, our Foundation President Turgay Aldemir drew attention to the restorative effect of Ramadan on our souls and minds. In his speech, Aldemir stated:
"Ramadan has given us a time of imsak and iftar; this process has taught us where to stand and where to move forward in life. By reorganizing our souls with the Arabic of the Qur’an and our minds and thoughts with its meaning, we have made a ‘balance adjustment’ to our thinking. If we neglect this balance in the difficult paths of life, like a car with failed brakes, we risk both ourselves and society. Therefore, we must carry the direction we gained during Ramadan throughout the year with our study circles and conversations," emphasizing that we should spread this discipline throughout our entire lives.
COMMON MESSAGE: UNITY AND BLESSING
Throughout the program, together with our volunteers and stakeholders who took the floor, we shared the joy of the solidarity campaign we carried out during Ramadan. As we left behind a full and vibrant Ramadan, we evaluated the success of our iftar and aid organizations, which reached 4,500 people within our foundation. While highlighting the social impact of our "Dress a Child Too" campaign and the work carried out in our cultural centers in Syria, we expressed our pride in the efforts of our colleagues who worked diligently throughout this process. Under the shadow of the suffering experienced in different parts of the world, while wishing peace for the entire Islamic world, we once again renewed our responsibility to stand on the right side of history and to carry our foundation tradition into the future.
We concluded our program by presenting traditional Eid allowances to our children and offering prayers for the unity of the Ummah.
