The “Cleaning Aleppo” program, jointly organized by Bülbülzade Foundation and White Helmets Association, started with an event in the city square. The cleaning campaign, which started with the participation of hundreds of volunteers and vehicles, continued with the work carried out all over Aleppo after the statements made.
The opening of the event was attended by Aleppo Governor Abdulwahap Daas, President of the Anatolian Federation Turgay Aldemir, Director of the White Helmets Association Muhammed Basel Kırşanu, businessman Dr. Mahmut Farzat, President of Bekam Association Mehmet Ali Eminoğlu and President of Gaziantep Syrian Community Mustafa El Hüseyin.
Within the scope of the program, Aleppo Governorate, Aleppo University, city square, sidewalks, parks, streets and many other points were cleaned. University and high school students as well as young people actively participated in the event, which aimed to give the city a hopeful color again.
The cleaning campaign will last for a week and will continue in different parts of Aleppo. This step to restore the city to its former glory received great support from both participants and the public.
