Helping Hand Türkiye and Syria Director Ahsan Shafiq visited the Bülbülzade Foundation and met with Foundation President Turgay Aldemir. During the meeting, ongoing work for children and potential future collaborations were discussed.
Children are the sole future of a society and the purest rays of hope of today. Especially every hand of compassion extended to children who have become disadvantaged due to war, natural disasters or losses actually means healing the wounds of all humanity. Civil society organizations acting with this awareness continue to build bridges that cross borders in order to bring a small smile to the faces of orphaned, earthquake-affected and migrant children. An important meeting that would give momentum to one of these bridges of kindness took place recently.
A SINCERE AND CONSTRUCTIVE ATMOSPHERE
Ahsan Shafiq, Türkiye and Syria Director of the International Development and Relief Organization (Helping Hand for Relief and Development), paid an official visit to the Bülbülzade Foundation. The main agenda of the meeting, hosted by Bülbülzade Foundation President Turgay Aldemir, was human life, which is at the center of both institutions, and especially the well-being of disadvantaged children. The meeting took place in a sincere and constructive atmosphere in which humanitarian aid vision was shared.
COLLABORATIONS DISCUSSED
During the visit, Turgay Aldemir provided Ahsan Shafiq with detailed information about the comprehensive activities carried out by the foundation. In particular, support provided to orphaned children, long-term rehabilitation processes for children affected by the earthquake disaster, and remedial efforts aimed at the integration of Syrian children in the region into social life came to the forefront. During the meeting, the importance of steps taken toward the educational, social and cultural development of all children and young people, going beyond delivering emergency aid only during times of crisis, was emphasized. At the end of the meeting, international joint projects and mutual collaborations that could be implemented in the coming periods in order to make a stronger impact on the lives of disadvantaged groups and deliver aid to wider communities were discussed in detail.
