The Mozaik Women and Family Association held a strategic meeting in Gaziantep with the Büyük Aile Platformu and the İstanbul Aile Vakfı to protect the family structure against the risks of the digital world.
Operating under the umbrella of the Bülbülzade Foundation, the Mozaik Women and Family Association hosted Büyük Aile Platformu Secretary Serdar Eryılmaz, İstanbul Aile Vakfı President Üner Karabıyık, and their delegation in our city. During the meeting held at the Aile ve Nesil Akademi, the negative effects of digitalization on family bonds and the steps to be taken at the local level were discussed. It was emphasized that a unified stance should be adopted against the weakening of family communication caused by technology, and the loss of responsibility resulting from digital addiction across all age groups was addressed.
WE ARE BREAKING DOWN DIGITAL WALLS
The Mozaik Women and Family Association emphasized that "Phone Detox" is a vital necessity against the erosion of sincerity in parent-child relationships caused by smart devices. It was stated that before asking children to put down their phones, parents should limit their own screen time and turn this discipline into a family culture. The goal is to eliminate technology as a barrier and strengthen face-to-face communication.
A DETERMINED STANCE TO PROTECT VALUES
During the consultation meeting, external interventions targeting faith and cultural values were also evaluated in detail. It was decided to raise conscious awareness against content that targets family structure and social values through screens. It was stated that the determined stance against any structure that harms core values and trivializes the institution of family will be supported by fieldwork.
A STRONG TURKEY WILL RISE WITH CONSCIOUS FAMILIES
This meeting held in Gaziantep was described as an important step in a social movement. Efforts to increase family awareness across the city will be accelerated in order to protect children from digital and ideological encirclement. It was emphasized that tomorrow’s strong Turkey will be built by today’s connected families, and thanks were extended to the Büyük Aile Platformu and İstanbul Aile Vakfı delegation for their visit.
