The Katre Science and Art Center Art Films Series program began on Tuesday, November 4, at the Zade Life Hotel cinema hall with the screening of “Takva.” Released in 2006 and the winner of nine awards at the 43rd Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, “Takva” was analyzed in terms of character interpretations and scene sequences within the context of religion and modernism.
The event, moderated by Yılmaz Ergen, a member of the Katre Science and Art Center Board, became interactive with the participation of young attendees. Before and after the screening, productive discussions were held on the film’s philosophy and its overall message. The screenings and analyses within the “Art Films Series” organized by Katre Science and Art Center will continue regularly on the first Tuesday evening of every month with the participation of cinema enthusiasts.
