As part of the summer school organized by the Semt-i İbrahimli Association, children had the opportunity to learn about Gaziantep's epic history on site.
The Semt-i İbrahimli Association continues its summer school program, launched to help children develop cultural and historical awareness at an early age, without slowing down. As part of the latest event organized within this program, the children visited the Panorama 25 December Gaziantep Defense Heroism Panorama and Museum, where the city's struggle for liberation is presented in all its grandeur. The young students not only spent time immersed in history but also enjoyed an educational experience that will remain etched in their visual memory.
THEY FORMED A STRONG CONNECTION WITH THE PAST
Throughout the event, the children toured the museum accompanied by expert guides, examining with great curiosity the reliefs, sculptures, and paintings depicting the unparalleled resistance displayed during the Defense of Antep. The young visitors, who closely witnessed the hardships endured by the heroic people on the road to the city being awarded the title of "Gazi," had the opportunity to envision the extraordinary sacrifices made by their ancestors. In their statement, association officials emphasized the importance of helping children establish a strong connection with their past. The association's administrators pointed out that learning history solely through books would be incomplete and stated that such on-site educational activities leave lasting impressions on children.
