Turgay Aldemir, President of the Bülbülzade Foundation, came together with organizations in Halfeti and Yukarı Göklü to strengthen the civil society network and build a shared vision for the future.
At the program hosted by the Yukarı Göklü Invitation and Brotherhood Foundation, the critical role of civil society in social transformation and the responsibilities it should undertake were discussed in detail. Turgay Aldemir delivered a speech titled "Civil Society and Our Responsibilities." In his speech, Aldemir particularly emphasized the concept of appropriateness and underlined that civil society organizations need to conduct a historical self-criticism.
VOLUNTEERISM IS THE LIFEBLOOD OF CIVIL SOCIETY
Aldemir stated that it is of vital importance for institutions to analyze their past positions, their current standing, and their future goals on a correct basis, and expressed that this process serves as a compass in producing social benefit. Reminding that the awareness of volunteerism is the lifeblood of civil society, Aldemir stated that this spirit should be combined with an institutional structure.

He emphasized that civil society activities should not be limited to aid efforts but should be supported with innovative and inclusive projects in line with the spirit of the times. He concluded his remarks by stating that a civil society approach that adapts to changing world conditions, completes its institutional identity, and touches every segment of society will be a great assurance in building the future. The program ended with mutual exchange of views and consultations aimed at increasing the efficiency of social activities in the region.
