The seasonal roadmap for the summer schools opened under the umbrella of the Bülbülzade Foundation was determined through a comprehensive coordination meeting.
The team of educators serving within the Bülbülzade Foundation Summer Schools came together to evaluate the operational framework and curriculum strategies for the new term. As one of the most comprehensive alternative education projects carried out across the city, the summer schools addressed pedagogical approaches and practical applications aimed at maximizing children's developmental processes. The participating educators exchanged views on the interactive teaching methods and field experiences to be implemented throughout the term.
A HOLISTIC APPROACH
Distinguished from other summer activities organized throughout Gaziantep in terms of both content and scope, the Bülbülzade Foundation Summer Schools aim not only to provide children with academic or seasonal skills. The program is based on a holistic approach that seeks to strengthen the individual's universal and moral connections. In this context, children are introduced to specially designed modules intended to foster their relationship with the Creator, self-awareness, environmental consciousness, and empathy-based relationships with other living beings in nature. During the sessions, where educators shared experiences from their respective fields, detailed discussions were held on how this theoretical framework would be translated into practical field applications.
EDUCATIONAL METHODOLOGY DETERMINED
Educators from numerous different units participated in the meeting, which brought together a wide range of stakeholders, including the Semt-i İbrahimli Association, Hayata Dokun Orphan Association, Middle East Media Communication Center, Anatolian Students Union, Education and Teachers Unit, Secondary Education Unit, BİLİMDER, and the Anatolian Cultural Centers operating under the Earthquake Region and Migration & Common Future Unit. During the organization, detailed discussions were held on the program that forms the backbone of the summer activities. Within this framework, the methodology for Qur'an education, one of the most important components of the program, was determined. It was emphasized that the daily Qur'an lessons should be fully customized according to the students' individual levels. The sessions also comprehensively evaluated how educators should approach children from a pedagogical perspective during lessons, as well as practical methods and communication strategies to enhance student motivation.
ACTIVE PARTICIPATION OF PARENTS TO BE ENSURED
Planning for parent meetings was also discussed with the aim of conducting the educational process in cooperation with families. The dates and primary objectives of the parent meetings, which were decided to be held twice during the summer term, were finalized. Through these meetings, it is intended to ensure that children are also supported in their home environment and that families actively participate in the educational process. In the final part of the meeting, the closing program marking the conclusion of the summer schools was discussed. A consensus was reached on organizing a large-scale closing event at the end of the term with the participation of all students and their families.
The meeting concluded with the completion of the coordination planning for the educators who will guide the intellectual and moral development of children throughout the new term.
