Between May 29 and June 1, Bülbülzade Foundation will host the Traditional Spring Festival with beautiful activities. İstikrar Sports Center provided free training in taekwondo, volleyball and karate branches on 10-11 May 2025 to bring children together in sports. Nearly 60 children aged 6-14 from various schools and neighborhoods participated in the event.The event, in which children could participate free of charge, started with physical education lessons and warm-up movements accompanied by expert coaches. It then continued with trainings in taekwondo, volleyball and karate branches. As Bülbülzade Foundation, we offer an environment of conversation and entertainment for everyone from 7 to 77 with sports and art shows, local dishes, desserts and handicraft art workshops, live music concerts, children's festivals, interviews and mini workshops at the Charity Bazaar and Spring Festival, which we have been organizing traditionally for more than 25 years. The planning and preparation meeting of the Charity Bazaar and Spring Festival, which will be held this year as every year, was held on May 12, 2025 at the Bülbülzade Foundation headquarters.Officials from various units including Mozaik Women and Family Association, Touch Life Orphan Association, Aid Unit, Katre Art and Science Center, İstikrar Sports Club, Middle East Media and Communication Center, Migration and Syria Unit participated in the meeting where preparation stages and comprehensive planning were discussed.The Bülbülzade Foundation Charity Bazaar and Spring Festival, which appeals to people of all ages, sports and art shows, local dishes, desserts and handicraft art workshops, live music concerts, children's festivals, interviews and mini workshops will take place on 29-30-31 May and 1 June 2025.

Journalist-Writer Kemal Öztürk visited our foundation president Turgay Aldemir. During the visit, detailed information was given about the activities and projects of Bülbülzade Foundation. He made evaluations about the media in the Syrian field in the new process by watching the work on Fajr Radio within our foundation. In addition, Kemal Öztürk, who drew attention to the importance of media literacy, visited the studios of the Middle East Media and Communication Center within the Bülbülzade Foundation and shared his views on the infrastructure.

The second international activity within the scope of the Erasmus+ KA210 project “Active Citizenship Guide for Young People” carried out by Bilimder and partnered by Tavo Europa from Lithuania was held in Gaziantep between 9-13 May 2025. The event was hosted by Bülbülzade Foundation.During the event, the Guidebook on Active Citizenship for Youth, which is being prepared within the scope of the project, was discussed. The content draft of the guide was evaluated and consultations were held regarding the dissemination process. One of the important topics of the program was the consortium work on the themes of volunteering, democratic participation, digital citizenship and social responsibility.Within the scope of the program, BEKAM President Mehmet Ali Eminoğlu made a presentation on “Active Citizenship Pathways for Youth”. A visit to Gaziantep City Council was also organized during the event. Yusuf Erdem Güzelbey, Chairman of the Executive Board, gave information about the functioning of the council and youth activities. A city tour was organized under the guidance of Hüseyin Rahmi Açıkkol, President of the Sports Working Group.The event ended with the planting of saplings in the Kurtuluş Forest of Bülbülzade Foundation. At the end of the program, YouthPass certificates were presented to all participants. The Active Citizenship Guide for Young People, which is planned to be published in June, will be made available to young people and civil society organizations active in the youth field. The guide will include content that will encourage the active participation of young people in democratic life.The first activity of the project was held in Vilnius, Lithuania on July 27 - August 2, 2024. In the first event, workshops on youth work, youth access to democratic participation processes and basic needs were held and the foundations of the guide were laid.

Bülbülzade Foundation Secondary Education Unit organized two different debate programs for middle and high school students. The debate program for middle school students was held in 4 different groups with a total of 2 rounds as a preliminary elimination competition. In addition, the first stage of the Debate Tournament was organized with the male and female students of Bülbülzade Foundation, Touch Life Orphan Association and Bilimder, hosted by BEKAM.In the middle school debate program, male students debated on the question titles “Does peer bullying affect school success / does it not affect school success?” and female students debated on the question titles “Do smartphones make learning easier / not easier?”.In the first stage of the Debate Tournament organized for high school students, “Social media applications that emphasize visuality should be restricted. / should not be restricted.” and ‘The exam-oriented education system in Turkey blunts students’ creativity. / it does not.” Debates were held on the topic.The final stage of the Debate Tournament, where 2 groups qualified for the final stage, will be held in 2 weeks.

The first study visit of the Erasmus+ KA151 Mobility of Youth Workers project carried out by Bülbülzade Association was hosted by Alaca Association in Tetova, North Macedonia on 5-6 May 2025.In the program attended by 13 youth workers from our organization, the activities carried out for women and young people were examined on site. The second stop of the program will be held on 7-8-9 May in Skopje, hosted by Köprü Association.

Turgay Aldemir, President of Bülbülzade Foundation, Mehmet Ali Eminoğlu, President of BEKAM (Science Education Culture Research Center), Mustafa al Hüseyin, President of Gaziantep Syrian Community and Remzi Yılmaz, Director of Migrant Services Center paid a courtesy visit to Gaziantep AFAD Provincial Director Mahmut Coşkun.Within the scope of the visit, information was shared about the humanitarian aid, education and development activities carried out by Bülbülzade Foundation in the earthquake zone, in the international arena and especially in Syria. Detailed information was also given about the Liaison Office, which started its activities in Aleppo in the new period, and the Aleppo Anatolian Cultural Center, whose renovation works are ongoing.AFAD Provincial Director Mahmut Coşkun gave information about the works carried out during the earthquake and the housing projects completed and delivered to the rightful owners. He also evaluated the meetings held with the Aleppo administration and the Consulate General of Aleppo, as well as the new studies planned in the region.At the end of the visit, Turgay Aldemir, President of Bülbülzade Foundation, presented a plaque to Provincial Director Mahmut Coşkun for AFAD's devoted work during the February 6 Kahramanmaraş earthquakes.
