Students studying in Gaziantep and various provinces of Turkey under the umbrella of the Anatolian Student Union (AÖB) were informed about the seminars, camps, trips, debates and various trainings to be held during the summer.In the meeting program, each participant explained the work they have done in their provinces. At the end of the program, food was served to the participants and a music concert was presented.In the program, information was given about the future projects and activities of the Anatolian Student Union, while trainings and activities that will contribute to the personal development of students were planned. Students had the opportunity to meet each other and make new friendships.

Semt-i Ibrahimli summer school opened its doors to students on July 1, 2024. Semt-i Ibrahimli Summer School aims to provide students with both academic and practical skills. The Safe Zones Summer School started on July 1, 2024 in the cities of Azaz, Jarabulus, Afrin and Al-Bab with approximately 500 students. This program, which continues five days a week, aims to increase students' knowledge as well as improve their psychomotor skills through various workshops.Students are offered a wide range of courses including the Holy Quran, Siyer, History of the Prophets, Worship, Geography, Traffic and Environmental Education, First Aid and Values Education. The education program aims for students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge and to learn how to behave in these places by seeing what they have learned in practice through cultural visits.The program also includes workshops and sports activities such as Handicraft Workshop, Wood Painting, Music Workshop, Archery and Horse Riding. These workshops help students gain skills that will make their lives easier in daily life and improve their ability to work together.The Safe Zones Summer School aims to support both the spiritual and physical development of students and ensure that they have a full and productive summer.

In addition to increasing students' knowledge, the program develops their psychomotor skills through workshops.The five-day-a-week program consists of courses such as the Holy Quran, Siyer, History of the Prophets, Worship and Values Education. In addition to the lessons, mosque visits aim to help students see the application of their knowledge and learn how to behave in these places.The workshops are Kitchen Workshop, Handicraft Workshop and Game Workshop. In these workshops, students gain skills that will make their lives easier in daily life and develop their ability to work together.

Bülbülzade Foundation Secondary Education Commission organized a nature camp in Bülbülzade Foundation Kurtuluş Forest on June 29-30. The aim of the camp was to increase students' awareness of working together, to reinforce their friendships and to develop their awareness of nature and the environment.During the two-day camp, the participants had fun and had various discussions on nature and environmental awareness. There were also discussions on the differences between city life and rural life. Students learned about the advantages and challenges of rural life and enjoyed being in touch with nature.

A new one of the consultation meetings held periodically at Bülbülzade Foundation was held on July 1, 2024 at the Foundation headquarters. The main purpose of the consultation meetings is to listen to the activities of the units actively working within the foundation and to determine how to move forward by making consultations for its development. It is also to exchange views on important issues on the agenda of the country or the world.At the meeting held last night, briefings were given on the working processes of the Art Center, Sports Center, Media Center, Girls' Accommodation Center, Migrant Services Center and Compass Book House, which provide professional services within the foundation.The meeting was also briefed on the progress of the active Forestry Unit. Details of the iftar programs held during Ramadan were discussed. The latest status of the ongoing construction of the Congress Center was discussed. Information was presented about the institutional preparations, the results of the Spring Festival held in the past months and the summer schools that started yesterday. Information was also given about the summer events planned to take place throughout the summer. It was stated that the summer activities will be held in four regions, in more than 10 different centers, with nearly 20 programs.At the end of the meeting, developments regarding migrants and Syrian refugees, which have been occupying Turkey's agenda, were also discussed.

The world is preparing for a great confrontation.We need to develop a holistic approach to migration and all issues related to migration. In particular, the work to be done on Syrians should be based on Syrians in Turkey, Syria and other countries, and on the opportunities and possibilities of migration rather than its threats. We must have a holistic approach in production, education and security policies. We must include Syrian migrants at the table on issues related to them. We must create consent for repatriation, implement practices that do not offend human dignity, and provide opportunities in housing, work-production and education.The inclusion of migrants in the system in countries such as the UK, the USA and Germany transforms migration from a problem into an advantage, and we must develop policies that will not offend both our people and migrants. We must stay away from practices that violate international law and human rights.

In Nurdağı and Islahiye regions, where we have been working since the first day of the earthquake, the Summer School organized within the scope of Bülbülzade Foundation's summer activities has started. The Summer School, which will take place between July 1 and August 2, is carried out together with volunteers from the Anatolian Student Union from different regions of Turkey.During this period, various trainings and activities are organized for students, aiming to provide both an educational and entertaining summer program. Within the scope of the Summer School, in addition to academic courses, social, cultural and sports activities will also contribute to the development of students.

Fuat Özdoğru and Enmar Bagerof, field coordinators of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and Mehmet Şahin, community-based protection coordinator, visited our foundation.During the visit, detailed information was given about the work carried out by our foundation. They exchanged views especially on migrant work and improving the situation of migrants. During the meeting, ideas were shared on how to overcome the difficulties faced by migrants and how to improve existing projects.This visit was an important step in strengthening the cooperation between the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and our foundation and making our work to improve the living conditions of migrants more effective.
