Traditional Ramadan Consultation Meeting of Bülbülzade Foundation was held

The Iftar and Consultation Meeting, which is traditionally organized by Bülbülzade Foundation every year during Ramadan, was held this year with intense participation. The main purpose of the program was to evaluate the activities of the units actively working within the foundation, to make consultations for the development of these activities and to exchange ideas on important issues on the agenda of the country and the world.Opening of the MeetingThe program started under the moderation of İbrahim Özmantar, Trustee of the Foundation. Özmantar started the program by making some evaluations about the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan.Syria's Current Situation and Migrant ServicesMustafa Ali Hüseyin, President of Gaziantep Syrian Community, made a presentation on the current developments in Syria and the work of migrant services. Hüseyin evaluated the process from the uprisings that started on March 15, 2011 until the fall of the Assad regime on December 8, 2024 and touched upon the main developments in this period. He also gave information about all the migrant support activities carried out by Bülbülzade Foundation since the early stages of the Syrian crisis.Terror Free Turkey and Turkey's CenturyIn the following part of the program, Turgay Aldemir, President of Bülbülzade Foundation, made a presentation titled “Terror Free Turkey and Turkey's Century”. Aldemir presented a comprehensive evaluation of the “Terror-Free Turkey Process” that started with the international agreements realized recently. Aldemir discussed the new era that emerged after the terrorist organizations operating in Turkey and Syria disbanded themselves within the framework of the agreements made and shared his views on the effects of this process on Turkey, the region and world politics.Consultation and EvaluationIn the last part of the meeting, the participants expressed their opinions on the presentations and exchanged ideas on various issues in a question and answer format.The program ended after the consultations.

Activities and events organized by Bülbülzade Foundation Earthquake Region Coordinatorship this week;“Digital Education Support for Women”“Digital My Business” training was organized in cooperation with Bülbülzade Foundation Earthquake Region Coordinatorship, Nurdağı Public Education Center and Vodafone. The training program for women affected by the earthquake enables them to expand their employment opportunities and participate more actively in economic life by increasing their digital skills.Within the scope of the training program, trainings such as basic computer usage, digital marketing, e-commerce, social media management, online entrepreneurship were provided to enable women to be more effective in the digital world.“Sewing Workshops”Necessary materials were provided for Islahiye and Nurdağı Sewing and Cutting Workshops.“Child Life Centers”At Nurdağı Nur 1C Child Life Center, children and young people came together for iftar.

Bülbülzade Foundation and Mozaik Women and Family Association organized an iftar program hosted by Bülbülzade Foundation for girls staying at Gazi Children's Homes Site within the scope of Gaziantep Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services on Thursday, March 13. Gaziantep Family and Social Policies Children Services Director, Gazi Children's Homes Director, members and volunteers of Mosaic Association and Bülbülzade Foundation participated in the program.The iftar program started with the greeting speech of Rabia Aldemir, President of Mosaic Association. After the iftar meal, the evening prayer was performed as a congregation. The performance team from Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality performed the Hacivat Karagöz play.The program ended with the “Tree of Values” activity organized by a team of psychologists and psychological counselors.

Gaziantep Anatolian Student Union held its traditional iftar program within the scope of Ramadan on Wednesday, March 12, hosted by Bülbülzade Foundation. Members and volunteers of Anatolian Student Union, Bülbülzade Foundation, Mosaic Association, BEKAM and Touch Life Orphan Association and students from various universities participated in the program.The iftar program started with the recitation of the Quran. After the iftar, Turgay Aldemir, President of Bülbülzade Foundation, made his greeting speech. After the recitation of the Holy Quran by Celal Er, a music and kanun recital was performed by the students of the Anatolian Student Union.The traditional iftar program ended after the collective photo shoot.

Bülbülzade Foundation organized a special iftar program for children with down syndrome in Aleppo through the Aleppo Liaison Office of the foundation within the scope of Syria-Migration activities in Syria and Turkey and Ramadan. The program was attended by the head of the local council, representatives of various non-governmental organizations and volunteers.Turgay Aldemir, the president of the foundation, delivered the greeting speech at the iftar program and expressed his satisfaction that Aleppo is hosting such an important organization with its air, water and soil, which has recently become beautiful again. Turgay Aldemir stated that it was a source of great pride to have iftar with our brothers and sisters with Down Syndrome and to be in Aleppo during Ramadan and wished to meet in these beautiful environments for many more Ramadans.The iftar program ended after the competitions and gift distribution.

Hayata Dokun Orphan Association held the second of its traditional iftar programs within the scope of Ramadan on Tuesday, March 11, hosted by Bülbülzade Foundation. The program was attended by children and their families, members and volunteers of Bülbülzade Foundation, Mosaic Association, BEKAM and Touch Life Orphan Association.The program started with a prayer by our students before iftar. After iftar, a children's concert was organized and a fun show for the children. Flowers were distributed as gifts to the participating mothers.The iftar program ended with a face painting activity for children.

“Migration Services Center” protocol signed between Gaziantep Governorship, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and Bülbülzade Foundation.In 2021, the protocol signed between the Governorship of Gaziantep, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and Bülbülzade Foundation for the establishment of a “Migrant Services Center” was extended with new processes regarding the situation of migration and migrants in the city.Within the scope of the protocol signed by Gaziantep Governor Kemal Çeber, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin and Bülbülzade Foundation President Turgay Aldemir, the “Migration Services Center” will continue its work on migrants and migration management processes of the city in order to contribute to strengthening the capacity of local governments in migration management.  The Center will carry out activities for information, improvement and coordination focused on safe return; counseling and guidance services for migrants; and activities, training and cooperation activities to support social cohesion.

As Bülbülzade Foundation, we have been providing clothing aid to thousands of children and families in need every year since 1994. Through the Aid Unit of our Foundation, families and children in need can choose and buy their clothes in a shopping store environment.  Within the scope of the Ramadan month “Dress a Child” campaign, we will provide holiday clothes to children and families in need until Saturday, March 22nd.The campaign is supported by volunteers from Bülbülzade Foundation, Mozaik Women's Association and Anadolu Student Union. Children who come to the Clothing Store participate in activities and children's games organized by our volunteers.We would like to thank all our volunteers who contributed to the “Dress a Child” campaign and our valuable supporters who donated.

Bülbülzade Foundation's Aleppo Liaison Office continues to organize sessions with opinion leaders, local artists and writers. In this context, a meeting was organized with writers and artists who live in Aleppo and have taken an active role in various Syrian agendas.The artists expressed that they have been working individually for a long time and are preparing to contribute to the reconstruction of Syria and the development of Aleppo in the new process. In particular, they expressed their desire to realize projects using the power of art and aesthetics in the new Syria.The session ended with the poets reading their poems.
