Bülbülzade Foundation Aid Unit President Talip Çelik and the accompanying delegation paid an auspicious visit to Mr. Ali Yılmaz, who was appointed as Şehitkamil Red Crescent Branch President in the new term.During the visit, information was given about the aid activities carried out by our foundation for migrants, earthquake victims, orphans, women and children. In addition to shelter, food and health services for migrants, support such as language and integration courses were also provided. Emergency aid activities, temporary shelters and psychosocial support programs for earthquake victims were also shared.In addition, the importance of educational scholarships, stationery support and social activities for orphaned children was emphasized. Activities such as vocational courses for women, health seminars, education programs for children, play and art workshops were also detailed.Mutual consultations were held to further develop and expand these activities. It was agreed to implement joint projects and strengthen cooperation in areas where society needs.

Supported by the Turkish National Agency and implemented by the Green Hope Association, the first event of the project “Young People Protect Nature: Green Skills” project's first event started in Gaziantep.The project, carried out in cooperation with EMU Association from France, Us Akademiker Plattform from Germany and Bridge Association from North Macedonia, aims to direct young people to environmental issues, raise awareness about global environmental problems and promote resilience.The activity started with introductions and breakfast. Afterwards, the participants visited the activity areas of Bülbülzade Foundation and Green Hope Association and received information about the organization. Turgay Aldemir, President of Bülbülzade Foundation, Mehmet Ali Eminoğlu, President of BEKAM and Cumali Kaplan, President of Green Hope Association emphasized the responsibilities that civil society should assume in the field of sustainable environment. Participants shared information by presenting examples of good environmental practices in their countries.Environmental Activist İbrahim Kılıç made a presentation titled “What Can Young People Do for Environmental Sustainability?”. After the presentation, a question-answer session was held and the thoughts and questions of young people on the subject were evaluated. After lunch, a city tour titled “Sustainable Cities” was organized under the guidance of Hüseyin Rahmi Açıkkol, President of Gaziantep City Council Sports Working Group.The week-long program will include activities such as group discussions, project development workshops, a visit to an energy production and recycling center, sapling planting and a visit to Bülbülzade Foundation's Salvation Forest.

Anadolu Student Community analyzed Byung-Chul Han's book “Enfocracy: Digitalization and the Crisis of Democracy” at Pusula Kitap Kahve.In the program moderated by Gülay Şanverdi and presented by Enes Günaslan, concepts such as information regime, dataism, transparency, panoptican, isolation, behavior profile, fragmented time and disclosure culture were discussed. In addition, the importance of a critical approach to global concepts was emphasized by drawing attention to the fragmentation of time and the effects of digitalization on social structures.

The book “Civil Movement” was analyzed at Bülbülzade Foundation. Educators, teachers, business people and academicians attended the book analysis program. It discusses how civil movements should comprehend concepts such as existence, knowledge, time, space, history and civilization.Existence is considered as a sign for human beings to recognize themselves and the Creator. Everything that exists in nature and the universe conveys a message to human beings and it is important to realize this message. It is emphasized that civil movements should guide society by taking these signs of existence into account.Knowledge is a guide that enables the individual to find the right path. Individuals and communities with a sense of direction (the right path) are one of the most important pillars of civil society. Knowledge should contribute to the development of society and guide the goals of civil society.Proper use of time is part of individual and social responsibility. This means that civil societies should act in a planned, organized and responsible manner.Space is a world of opportunities for the individual and society. Society's spaces allow individuals to realize their potential and contribute to society. Civil societies should create opportunities to use spaces for the benefit of society.Learning from the past is important for society to take the right steps in the future. Anatolian Student Union and Bülbülzade Foundation Aid Commission held a joint meeting about the new term activities and organizations. During the meeting, consultations were held regarding the coordination of joint projects and aids.During the meeting, it was decided that the Anatolian Student Union and the Aid Commission will organize cultural and educational activities with children and young people in cooperation. In addition, a team of social investigators consisting of young people will be established.

Nurdağı District Director of National Education Musa Yıldırım visited Bülbülzade Foundation Child Life Center operating in Nurdağı Nur 1C.During the visit, information was given about the ongoing and ongoing educational activities of our foundation. Consultation was held regarding the information technologies class planned to be opened within the scope of our foundation.

A delegation consisting of Remzi Yılmaz, Head of Migrant Services Center, Mustafa Alhuseyin, President of Gaziantep Syrian Community, Cemal Akıncı, Head of Turkey Office of Kuwait Rahma Association and Bülbülzade Foundation came together with Syrian opinion leaders living in Kayseri as part of the Common Future Meetings held regularly in Gaziantep.During the meeting, information about the “Gaziantep Model” created in Gaziantep in cooperation with public institutions and non-governmental organizations was shared. The delegation exchanged views with Syrian opinion leaders living in Kayseri on the importance of harmonious coexistence between local people and migrants and how this coexistence can be ensured.The meetings ended after the delegation visited the Governor of Kayseri. It was reported that new sessions will be held in the future.

The third lesson of Mozaik Family and Women's Association Tafsir Readings was held on Friday, November 1, 2024, hosted by Bülbülzade Foundation.The Tafsir lesson was held with the title “Social Decay”. In the lesson; “How can we define the concept of social decay? How would you describe the signs of social decay? What should be prioritized in overcoming social decay? What kind of discourse and action can we produce in the face of corruption and decay?” Ideas and thoughts on the issues were discussed.

Practical first aid training was given by Gaziantep Provincial Health Directorate specialist doctors at Bülbülzade Foundation Children's Life Center in İslahiye Yaşam 1 Container City.Since the first day of the earthquake, trainings and activities for mothers, young people and children have been continuing in the foundation's shaping-sewing workshops and children's life centers in accordance with the needs.First aid training was organized this week as part of the regular trainings that continue every week. In the training titled “First Aid for Tiny Hearts”, participants were given information on how to deal with health problems they may encounter, especially during infancy.

The 8th International Al Sharq Youth Conference was held at Gaziantep Şahinbey Congress and Culture Center with the theme “Beyond Borders - A New Order”.The conference brought together academics, policy makers and young people and consisted of sessions where different perspectives on the world order were presented. The focus of the event was on the concerns of young people due to their distrust of the existing economic, political and social structures on a global scale and the populist approaches emerging in this context.The program aimed to address the unique risks faced by young people and provided a platform for discussion. The conference brought together young people, thinkers, academics and policymakers to discuss current issues of the world order.

At our booth within the scope of ErasmusDays 2024, we organized fun and educational activities with brain teasers such as chess and rubik's cube led by our ESC volunteers, as well as creative activities where children colored the words “Erasmus+ Days” written on a large white cloth with finger paints. Children and families also had fun with face painting activities. During the event, young people were informed about Erasmus+ projects and ESC volunteering opportunities.As Bülbülzade Foundation, we carry out various projects that support our youth to be more active in international platforms. Through our Erasmus+ and ESC projects, we offer our young people unique experiences and opportunities abroad, while through our ESC projects, we contribute to their personal and professional development by both hosting young volunteers from abroad and sending our own young people abroad.With these opportunities, we continue to encourage our young people to explore Europe, experience cultural interaction and gain international experiences!@ulusalajans 

The president of the Istanbul-based Arakan Humanitarian Relief Association and its Education, Media and Aid officers visited our foundation.During the meeting, information was received about the activities of the Arakan Humanitarian Aid Association for students. They were also informed about the educational activities carried out by Bülbülzade Foundation. The association stated that there are 250 Arakanese students in Turkey and that they are working with these students in many areas such as intensive leadership training, art and culture trainings.It was stated that Arakan has a population of 5 million, 4.5 million of this population live as refugees around the world, while the remaining 500,000 people continue their lives as refugees in camps in Arakan.After the meetings, the delegation had the opportunity to visit the Art Center, Sports Center and Middle East Media areas in the Bülbülzade Foundation complex and see the works on site.
